The Last Lifeboat
J. Bruce Ismay saved as many people as he could that fateful night when the Titanic sank, and finally, with no one in sight, he stepped into the last lifeboat…and was branded a coward and a traitor forever.
This epic tale explores not only the tragedy itself, but the aftermath of the night that changed the world forever.
Ripcord
A sunny room on an upper floor in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, where Abby and Marilyn are forced to live together. Abby will get rid of Marilyn by any means necessary!
Ripcord is an often slapstick, always surprising comedy. An enemies-to-friends story that will keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat.
Something Rotten!
Welcome to the Renaissance and the crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten! Lauded by audiences and critics alike, receiving several Best Musical nominations, and hailed as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years".
This was a perfect season ending night of music, dancing, and laughter.
2022-2023 Season
A Christmas Story
Join Ralphie, Randy, Mother, and "The Old Man" in this classic Christmas story brought to life on stage.
Ralphie has set his sights on a Red Ryder BB gun in spite of everyone's advice - "You'll shoot your eye out!"
Over the River and Throug the Woods
Every Sunday, Nick crosses the river to visit his Italian American grandparents - both sets!
He's moving away and they aren't happy ... need we say more?
City of Angels
Winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical ... this show was a must see for our audiences.
Loaded with unforgetable music and effects -- City of Angels closed 92nd season with a bang.
2021-2022 Season
All Together Now!
This show signaled our return to "The Masquers Stage" at the Capitol Civic Centre.
As a fundraising effort this show featured some of the best known Broadway tunes.
Boeing, Boeing
Bernard, Berthe, and Richard pull the wool over the eyes of three girls who all happen to be engaged to Bernard.
This fast-paced comedy was enjoyed by many of our loayal fans.
Clue
Clue finally made to the stage following cancellations and restrictions throughout our 90th season.
Viewed by large audiences, everyone enjoyed trying to figure out WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
2020-2021 Season
The Spoon River Project
Created by Edgar Lee Masters in the 19th century, this haunting tale of a community called Spoon River gave the audience a glimpse into the lives of the former residents of as they examined life and the longing for what might have been.
The Marvelous Wonderettes
Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy were four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts!
Audiences were treated to two casts performing on opposite nights over two weekends.
Clue
RESCHEDULED
Clue was not performed in our 90th season due to COVID-19 restrictions.
We rescheduled this wonderful show to our 91st season. Please look for more information there.
2019-2020 Season
Mamma Mia!
Over 60 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story, and the music that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feel-good show! A Guaranteed Get-Happy Hit!
This show, not surprisingly, was the hit of the season. Audiences were thrilled by the music and dancing. Mamma Mia what a show!
Calendar Girls
Based on the true story of eleven WI members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund. Calendar Girls has become the fastest selling play in British theatre history.
This ended our season, though we didn't know it at the time. Audiences loved the shows and the tasteful portrayal of each character.
The Foreigner
CANCELLED
Based on what the NY Post describes as a "devilishly clever idea," the play demonstrates what can happen when a group of characters must deal with a stranger who, they think, knows no English.
The Foreigner was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2018-2019 Season
It's A Wonderful Life
The popular holiday classic finally came to The Masquers stage. This show was filled with all of your favorite characters from the beloved holiday classic movie by Frank Capra.
A perfect holiday offering, this show was a wonderful way to begin our season.
Sex Please We're Sixty
Mrs. Stancliffe's bed & breakfast, two men, four women, some little blue pills, and a little mayhem! The perfect mid-season offering to warm the hearts of our audiences.
This farce had our audiences laughing and talking for days.
Mary Poppins
Everyone's favorite nanny took the stage for four performances right here on the lakeshore. The show was filled with magic, sweeps, and flying kites.
Those who joined us saw us prove once again -- Anything Can Happen If You Let It.
2017-2018 Season
Wait Until Dark
A Broadway Hit, this play inspired the popular film starring Audrey Hepburn. A con man and an unsuspecting blind woman face off in a deadly game of cat and mouse.
A departure from our usual comedy or musical, this drama was loved by all.
Heaven Can Wait
Life, Love and the pursuit of boxing surround this classic comedy about a prizefighter who was taken from earth too early! His earthly body cremated, it's time to find a new one!
A three-time favorite in the movies, this show had them laughing in the isles.
Legally Blonde!
Being yourself truly never goes out of style. Elle Woods has something to prove when she transfers to Harvard Law school to win over a lost love and finds herself in the process.
This high-energy show entertained and wowed the house every night.
2016-2017 Season
Company
Sondheim's game-changing musical is a sophisticated and honest look at modern, adult relationships.
Our audiences were treated to the beautiful marriage of story and iconic music in this Stephen Sondheim classic!
Arsenic and Old Lace
An over the top hilarious farce! Abby and Martha Brewster are providing a much needed service for their single male roomers, one pinch of cyanide at a time!
Third time's the charm! Our favorite farce - and our audience's favorite too!
The Great Gatsby
Our audiences felt the glamour of the 1920s in this bold production of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic novel adapted by Simon Levy.
Nick Carraway narrates a world of obsession, greed and danger created by the attractive Jay Gatsby.
2015-2016 Season
Birch Hollow
A very special production written by our own Matthew Schliesman. The Masquers created a World Premiere for the first time in our history.
Our audiences were treated to performances by some of the best actors in the Lakeshore area.
Suite Surrender
Mistaken Identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles made this a hilarious riot our audiences won't soon forget.
The surprise ending was truly a surprise for all who attended.
Shrek the Musical
Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek..."
We all know the animated movie, this season The Masquers brought this audience favorite to life on the CCC stage for the enjoyment of everyone in the house.
2014-2015 Season
Leading Ladies
Another comedy from one of our favorite authors, Ken Ludwig. This show had our audiences laughing all the way home.
Not only a great way to start the season, this show featured some new faces and wonderful talent never before seen on our stage.
The Miracle Worker
Immortalized on stage and screen, this classic has stood the test of time. Attendees followed the story of Helen Keller as only The Masquers can tell it.
The show received great reviews from Warren Gerds Critic At Large.
The Addams Family
What's better than a musical? A musical comedy!
A creepy set with its huge front gate and "family tree" and all our favorite Addams Family members, this show was a rousing hit with the audience and another nod from Warren Gerds.
2013-2014 Season
A Chorus Line
A Chorus Line was the first of two musicals presented in our 83rd season.
This award winning show was well received by our appreciative audiences.
A great way to kick off our season.
The Fox on the Fairway
A wonderful farce by Ken Ludwig, this show featured lots of laughs, large audiences and a little off-season golf antics.
A chance for our audiences to really let go and laugh away the mid-winter blues.
Jesus Christ Superstar
The legendary rock classic by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. This was the second musical of our 83rd season.
The Masquers presented this show with a fresh new look on a set resembling that of a rock concert.
