Open Auditions for Making God Laugh

Welcome! If you are here we can safely assume that you are at least considering auditioning for the second show of our season. THAT'S GREAT NEWS!

This is the audition page for Making God Laugh. We need to cast five people for this show so we're very excited that you have chosen to check us out. As you may already be aware, this is a play that follows a typical American family over several decades, highlighting the complexities of their lives and relationships as they navigate major life events and personal struggles, often contrasting their carefully laid plans with the unexpected turns life takes, echoing the adage "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans."

On this page you will find a link to the online audition registration as well as an audition form, character descriptions, and a rehearsal schedule. You will need all of these tools to prepare for your audition.

We strongly encourage all participants to register before December 8th as it helps us run a more efficient audition.

Auditions will be held at The Masquers Coach House 616 North 8th Street, Manitowoc, on Tuesday, December 10, and Wednesday, December 11, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Online registration is provided on this web page along with audition forms and character descriptions. All participants should come to the auditions with a completed audition form, a headshot, and a list of rehearsal scheduling conflicts. Please arrive early, be ready to start on time, and plan to stay for the entire audition session.

Rehearsals will begin on January 2nd, and will run Monday through Thursday evenings up to production week in March. Performance dates are March 6, 7, & 8, 2025 at the Capital Civic Centre, Manitowoc, WI.
